내가 다니고 있는 학교 Columbus State Community College(CSCC)

ESL 과정은 100까지 있으며, 100이상부터는 정규 대학과정 수업을 들을수 있다.

외국인일 경우 1학점당 210$, 12학점을 들을경우 2420$정도. 나는 시민권자 이기때문에 더싸게 듣고있지만, 모국어가 영어가 아니므로 ESL과정을 듣고 있다.

지금 내가 듣고 있는 수업은 ESL99으로  외국인을 위한 수업을 듣고있다

나는 어학연수를 할때 University보다 Community College(CC)를 추천한다! 

Ohio state univ에서 저저번 쿼터를 들었었는데, 학교가 어학연수 코스를 돈벌이로 쓰는게 너무 보이고, 선생들도 딱히 전문적이지 않게 느껴졌기 떄문에... 그에비해 CC는 정규 대학을 가기위한 대학이므로 ESL과정이 정말 탄탄하고, 적극적으로 학생들을 받아드리고 가르치고 있기 때문이다

<지금 ESL99 과정에서 쓰고 있는책>  실은 숙제하다가 심심해서 이 포스트를 쓰는거라 굉장히 귀찮게 찍었다... 왼쪽부터 문법, 쓰기, 읽기인데 쓰기책은 별로고..여기서 추천하는 책은 CURRENT ISSUES! 미국 정치에 관한 이야기인데, 나는 워낙 정치에 관심이 많은터라 그런지 좋다. 그리고 교수님이 정말 잘가르쳐주신다~ 감동감동!  또한, ESL과정은 10학점 밖에 되지 않기 떄문에 다른 수업을 병행해서 들어야 하는데(12학점 이상 들어야함), 내가 선택한 수업은 ESL94-Advanced Oral Comm Title Advanced Oral Comm ESL-094 Description Students will increase their awareness of the values and beliefs that underlie cultural norms in the U.S. Readings on various aspects of contemporary American culture will provide the springboards to information gathering outside of class (through additional reading and interviews with native speakers) in-class discussions and four required oral presentations. Students will practice standard American pronunciation and intonation and will master useful vocabulary and idiomatic expressions. Credit will not count toward graduation in any degree program. Prerequisite: ESL 099 (may be taken Corequisitely) or placement into ESL 099

내가 좋아하는 도서관!

처음에 커뮤니티 컬리지에 대한 인상이 안좋아서 시설부분에 있어서 기대를 하지않았었는데, 생각보다 깔끔해서 좋다! 물론 다운타운 특유의 분위기가 있긴 하지만... 

내가 하는 과정이 마지막 쿼터제라 3월 26일에 시작해서 6월 9일에 끝이난다. 올해 9월부터 학기제로 바뀌로 바뀌기때문에 과정이 어떻게 바뀔지는 모르겠다...
